Adele's Page
(Mums Page)
Hi there, they have left me to do my own page and I am very much the amateur in this house as far as working on the computer goes. Still, I will have a go.
First I will tell you a little about myself which will help to understand the contents of my area.
Many years ago I qualified as a Physical Education Teacher and since Thomas and Catherine have become a little more independent I have returned to teaching as a Primary School Supply Teacher for my Local Authority which keeps me extremely busy. I enjoy working in a number of schools and a variety of ages.
Until recently I worked as a pre school gymnastics coach for the same Authority and for the last five years have been a Fitness coach and run a weekly club session and occassional birthday parties for local primary school children. The club has been very successful proving that parents and children are looking for some fun activity and organised sessions which gets children away from TV and the "computer".
The sessions are held once a week for one hour and the children take part in all kinds of activities which are creative and fun. Space hoppers, bean bags, volley balls and the big favourite, the magical parachute, are some of the items used to entertain the children.
The great element which attracts me to the idea is that all children can achieve awards based on participation rather than on ability. I am always looking for new ideas and information and any interested professionals or parents who would like more details or have suggestions please pass them on! Email me @ TOMMY1244@AOL.COM.
When I have some leisure time I enjoy cross stitching. I have created several of my own designs with the use of a program on the computer and our very trusty scanner. Some of these have been linked to our interest in genealogy such as a map of Cheshire and our own family tree and I am currently working on the picture of our classic MG Roadster which can be seen on Howard's homepage. The picture was taken with our digital camera and then converted into a cross stitch pattern.
I am always interested to chat to anyone with similar interests so don't forget to EMail me!
